Have we been married or seriously committed for a while now? —→ Yep, EFT is a good fit for these couples
Have we experienced trust ruptures? —→ Yep, EFT is a good fit for these struggles
Does one of us have ADHD or Neurodivergence? —→ Yes, I don’t think I could say I am an “expert” in this topic yet, but I study it and most of my couples fit in this category
Are we pre-marital or dating? —→ I recommend Haley Latta and Rachel Max
Is our core struggle over parenting? —→ I recommend a parenting coach or family therapist
Am I theoretically interested in working on myself, but much more interested in your helping my partner change? —→ My friend, let me save you a lot of time and money. Couples therapy is a specific product. Maybe your partner is the one who needs to change more. But couples therapy is not the format for that. Couples therapy truly, truly only works if both people are highly willing to understand their own fears and understandable but problematic coping strategies.
The couples that do not improve in therapy with me, in my opinion, are where one person is overly fixated on their partner changing.
